Become a Member

Joining Walk & Talk for MENtal Health means becoming part of a supportive, understanding community of men who believe that mental health matters.

Our members come from all walks of life, but share one thing in common — a desire for connection, fresh air, and honest conversation.

As a member, you’ll be able to join our regular walks, access member-only events, and feel part of a group where there’s no pressure to talk - but space to do so if you want.

Membership helps you prioritise your own wellbeing while also supporting the wider Walk & Talk community.

Fundraise for Walk & Talk for MENtal Health

Fundraising is a powerful way to support men’s mental health and raise awareness at the same time. Whether it’s taking on a personal challenge, organising a workplace fundraiser, hosting a social event, or joining one of our organised campaigns, every pound raised helps us keep our walks accessible and our events running.

You don’t need to do anything extreme - simple, meaningful fundraising makes a real difference. We’ll support you with ideas, materials, and encouragement along the way.

Donations help us do what we do — plain and simple. Your support enables us to run regular walks, offer wellbeing events, train volunteers, and reach men who may otherwise struggle alone.

Whether it’s a one-off donation or a regular monthly contribution, every gift helps us create safe, welcoming spaces where men feel less alone. No amount is too small — it all adds up to real impact.

Volunteer with Us

Our volunteers are at the heart of Walk & Talk for MENtal Health. From walk leaders and meet-and-greet roles to behind-the-scenes support, volunteering is a rewarding way to give back while being part of a supportive team.

You don’t need any formal qualifications — just a willingness to listen, show up, and help create a welcoming environment for others. We provide guidance, support, and training where needed.

If you’d like to help lead walks, support events, or offer your skills in another way, we’d love to hear from you.

Not sure where you fit?

That’s okay. Many people start with one step - attending a walk, making a small donation, or simply reaching out for a chat. However you choose to get involved, you’ll be helping us build a stronger, more connected community for men.

Ways to get involved:  Businesses & Mental Health Services

We believe men’s mental health is strengthened when communities work together. That’s why we welcome connections with local businesses, organisations, and mental health services who want to support men in practical, meaningful ways — whether that’s through workplace wellbeing, community collaboration, or everyday acts of support.

There’s no single way to get involved.

Some organisations work with us in the workplace, others support our community through fundraising or Charity of the Month or Year partnerships, and many local businesses choose to support our members directly through discounts or added benefits.

Ways to Work with Walk & Talk for MENtal Health

Workplace & In-House Wellbeing

Businesses can support staff wellbeing through relaxed, practical talks, workshops, or team walks. These sessions focus on opening up conversations around men’s mental health, reducing stigma, and encouraging connection — and can be tailored to suit your organisation.

Charity of the Year & Fundraising

Choosing Walk & Talk as your Charity of the Month or Year allows your team to make a lasting impact. We’ll work with you on fundraising ideas, staff engagement, and shared events that feel meaningful rather than corporate.

Local Business Member Discounts

Local businesses can support men’s wellbeing by offering small discounts or added benefits to Walk & Talk members. This encourages men to get out into the community, try new places, and feel supported beyond our walks, as well as promoting your own business

This might include:

  • Percentage discounts on goods or services

  • Free upgrades or added extras

  • Member-only or seasonal offers

In return, we highlight participating businesses to our members and on our website as trusted, supportive local places.

Working Alongside Other Mental Health Services

We actively welcome connections with counsellors, therapists, coaches, charities, and services who want to collaborate, share resources, signpost between services, or co-host community wellbeing events.

Whether you’re a small local business, a larger organisation, or a mental health service, we’ll work with you to create something that fits your values, capacity, and community — and genuinely supports the men we serve.

If you’re interested in working with Walk & Talk, tell us a little about who you are and how you’d like to get involved. We’ll take it from there.
