Need Help Now?

Sometimes things build up slowly.
Other times they crash in all at once.

If you’re here because you’re struggling, feeling overwhelmed, or in a place that feels frightening or out of control, you’re not weak - and you’re not alone. Many men reach this point after carrying too much for too long, often without ever saying it out loud.

This page is here to help you find immediate, professional support from people who are trained to listen, understand, and help keep you safe.

If You Are in Immediate Danger

If you feel at risk of harming yourself or someone else, or you don’t feel safe right now:

  • Call 999 immediately, or

  • Go to A&E (your nearest Emergency Department)

If you can, tell someone you trust what’s happening and ask them to stay with you. You don’t have to face this moment alone.

Support Available Right Now

The organisations below are here to support you when things feel unmanageable.

They are run by trained professionals and volunteers who understand crisis, distress, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts. You don’t need to know exactly what to say, and you don’t need to be in “the worst possible place” to reach out. These services exist so you don’t have to cope on your own.

They are confidential, free to access, and available when you need them most.

YOUNG MINDS

It takes courage to ask for help. But for many young people who do, the support they need just isn’t there. Hundreds of thousands of young people are struggling with their mental health, but too many are being told to wait, struggling to cope and hitting a crisis point before they get help.

But things can get better. And we’re leading the movement for change.

Once you are safe, Walk & Talk can be part of your ongoing support network.

A Final Word

If you’re reading this and things feel unbearable, please reach out — even if you’re unsure what to say. Talking to someone trained to help can make this moment feel less frightening.
